From the President Regarding the Impact of COVID-19

18 April 2020

Dear Campers,

As we continue to operate within this new age of COVID-19 many changes will have to be made to ensure that our park can continue to provide a safe and sanitary place for people to come and relax.

At the time that I am writing this letter we are open for camping to our members with strict guidance to limit the number of persons per site and close those structures that are not essential to park operations. This means that the “Big Kitchen” and Peterson Hall will be closed.

Many of our large festival renters have already cancelled their events for this summer, which means the park will be without the income for these events. As such, we are instituting a couple new policies to help offset our normal operating costs.

-Effective immediately the sale of Life Memberships has been indefinitely suspended.

-All campers (except Day use) will be charged a flat $5 trash fee.

-All campers with a self-contained septic system will pay a $5 septic fee per visit. This includes RV’s that are stored onsite between reserved visits.

Fraternally,

Damion Stephan

Park Board President

From the President

Brethren and Ladies,

If you are not yet a life member of the Masonic Park and enjoying some of the benefits of being a life member now would be a great time to take care of it.  The cost of a Life Membership is $750.00 and can be paid in one lump sum or our three payment plan of a $250.00 per year for three years. For Further information please contact the Park Staff at 360-691-6641.

If you as a member of the Master Mason Club, a Master Mason,  a member of a concordant bodies of Freemasonry or a Masonic Lodge looking to assist in the preservation of the park for years to come, I humbly ask that you consider the Masonic Family Park in Granite Falls, Washington in your charitable generosity.  Please mail your contribution to the Masonic Family Park, P.O. Box 1379, Granite Falls, WA 98252.

Here is our wish list for the park, if anyone can assist it would really be appreciated.

  1. Furniture to furbish the Peterson Building - Sofas, End Tables, Lamps, Stove and Refrigerator, Books, Games, and VHS/DVD movies.

  2. Financial assistance to purchase uniformed Site Picnic Tables. The old wood ones are nice, however we lose 1-2 every year due to age. Investing in Park Tables made of aluminum and plastic will not only add to the appeal of the sites, but will endure the weathering elements of our Pacific Northwest

  3. Fire rings with the swivel grates, we are trying to upgrade all the fire pits in the park,  donations are being accepted all year. One fire ring cost is apx. $200.00

  4. If you have an items at home and think the park can use, please contact our park staff at 360-691-6641

  5. And last but by no means least…VOLUNTEERS!!!
As I close, let me say on behalf of the Park Board Committee, we hope all who have visited and utilized the Masonic Park this past year had a great time and are always looking forward to having you as our guests again in 2019.
It is the goal of the Board of Directors, Trustees and Caretaker Staff to ensure you have a good, clean family camping experience for years and years to come at your Granite Falls Masonic Family Park.
